RGS POST-PSLE SUPPLEMENTARY INTAKE EXERCISE (YEAR 1 2012)

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION

Application Procedure

The Post-PSLE Supplementary Intake Exercise for Primary 6 students (who have taken PSLE in 2011) will be held from 21 December 2011 to 22 December 2011

Students must take part in the MOE Centralized Posting Exercise and opt for RGS.  If they are unsuccessful in gaining admission, they may appeal directly to RGS from Wednesday, 21 Dec 2011 to 22 Dec 2011 (2pm).


Transfer of DSA-Sec Students

Students who have accepted DSA offers from other schools may seek an appeal to RGS only if there are strong reasons and exceptional circumstances by filling up this form.  Please send the completed form via email to admissions@rgs.edu.sg, or print out the completed form and deliver by hand to the General Office by Thu 22 Dec, 2pm

 

Submission of Application*

*Note:  This process is only for Primary 6 students who have gone through the MOE Centralised Posting Exercise, but are not posted to RGS.

Students must submit an online application. We regret that hard copy application forms will not be available.

  • The deadline for submission is Thursday, 22 Dec 2011, 2pm, at the latest.
  • Along with the application, please submit the following:

    • a non-refundable $20 administrative fee, payable in cash or cheque to
      "Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary)"
    • a personal statement*
    • 1 passport-sized photograph
    • a photocopy of your PSLE result slip

  • Cheque payments are strongly encouraged to facilitate the application process. We do not accept bank drafts.

Please also submit the above documents by Thursday, 22 Dec 2011, 2pm. The school’s General Office is open on Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am – 4pm (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays).

IMPORTANT: The submission of the online application form without these documents will be considered invalid. Please click here for the online application form (available from 21 Dec 9am). 

*If you have applied to RGS during the DSA exercise, you do not have to submit the personal statement again.

Completion of Post-PSLE Supplementary Intake Exercise

  • The school’s decision on the results of the admission exercise will be finalized by Friday, 30 Dec 2011 after the vacancies are ascertained from the December posting results.
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their applications by email.
  • The decisions of the Admission Selection Committee are final and the school will not enter into discussion with the applicants regarding its decisions.


Year 1 Reporting Day
Pending the outcome and/or offer of admission, all applicants will be required to report to the school that they are posted to by the Ministry of Education on Year 1 Reporting Day (22 December 2011). Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary) will assist to facilitate the transfer process if the applicant is eventually successful.
