Step 2:  Application Form and Submission of Relevant Documents

1. Application is open from 1 Jul 2011 (Friday) to 26 August 2011 (Friday). Please note that we do not accept applications for admission into Year 4.
2. Complete an online application form. We regret that hard copy application forms will not be available.
3. Upon submission of the online application form, please print a copy of the completed form and submit with the following:
   
   

   i)		Cover page (downloadable upon submission of the online application form)
   ii)		A personal statement: On a separate sheet of paper, respond to one of the following: The Raffles Programme is committed to the development of the person, the thinker, the leader and the pioneer.  Describe a situation from your experience that required you to uphold a value or principle dear to you.  Tell us what difficulties you encountered (if any) and how you dealt with them. Write about something that you have accomplished (other than grades) in school or in the community, which you are proud of.  Describe how you went about achieving it and why you think it was significant. This personal statement should be hand written in no more than 500 words.  After you have completed it, please sign your name as an attestation that it is your own authentic and original work.
   iii)		1 passport-size photograph
   iv)		Non-refundable application fee of $120. Please do not send cash by post. Cheque payments must be made payable to: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary). Cheque payments are strongly encouraged to facilitate the application process. We do not accept bankdrafts.
   v)		One of the following: a)   Photocopy of Dependent's Pass (DP) / Immigration Exemption Order (IEO) / Parent(s)'s Singapore NRIC OR b)   MOE's letter about the status of your Qualifying Test (QT), indicating your eligibility to apply to a mainstream school

   
   Note: Please submit the above documents within five working days. For online applications made from 22 Aug, the documents should be submitted by the closing date of 26 Aug 2011 (12 noon) .
   
   Your application is effective only after you have submitted all the documents listed above.

Important Notes

Do not submit original copies of certificates as all documents/portfolios etc submitted in connection with an application are non-returnable. Please provide valid and working e-mail addresses and at least two mobile phone numbers for contact purposes.

Check e-mail accounts on a regular basis as contact for entrance examinations will be done via e-mail nearer the date. Please adjust the security level of your email accounts in order to receive our mass email notifications.

Step 3: General Ability Test and Placement Tests

Applicants must sit for a General Ability Test and placement tests for English Language, Mathematics and Science. The test dates are on 05 & 06 September 2011. You will be notified of the timing of the tests at a later date.

Step 4: Interview

Shortlisted applicants who have done well in the tests will be invited to attend an interview. Interviews will be conducted during early October 2011.

Step 5 : Receive Notification Of Results

Results of the application will be released after 10 October 2011.
