Admission of International Students to Year 1 & 3 at RGS in 2011

An application will only be processed when an applicant has completed the first 2 steps listed below.

Step 1 : Identify the category you belong to

International Student with Dependant’s Pass (DP) or Immigration Exemption Order (IEO)

Category 2
International Student with either parent who is a Singapore Citizen
or Singapore Permanent
Resident

Category 3
International Student without DP, IEO and whose parents are not Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

Category 4
International Student whose parent(s) is/are holding S Pass or Work Permit (R Pass), without DP, IEO and whose parents are not Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

Applicants must sit for and pass the Qualifying Test (QT) with Ministry of Education, Singapore before proceeding to Step 2.

Step 2: Application Form and Submission of Relevant Documents
|
|
- Application is open from 30 June 2010 (Wednesday) to 27 August 2010 (Friday). Please note that we do not accept applications for admission into Year 2 & 4.
- Complete an online application form. We regret that hard copy application forms will not be available.
- Upon submission of the online application form, please print a copy of the completed form and submit with the following:

Cover page (downloadable upon submission of the online application form), |

A personal statement (instructions on how to write this is available upon submission of the online application form), |
| iii) | |
1 passport-size photograph |
| iv) | |
Non-refundable application fee of $120. Please do not send cash by post. Cheque payments must be made payable to: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary). Cheque payments are strongly encouraged to facilitate the application process. We do not accept bankdrafts. |

Photocopy of Dependent's Pass (DP) / Immigration Exemption Order (IEO) / Parent(s)'s Singapore NRIC OR |

MOE's letter about the status of your Qualifying Test (QT), indicating your eligibility to apply to a mainstream school

Note: Please submit the above documents within five working days. For online applications made after 23 Aug, the documents should be submitted by the closing date of 27 Aug 2010.
Your application is effective only after you have submitted all the documents listed above.

Important Notes
|
|
Do not submit original copies of certificates as all documents/portfolios etc submitted in connection with an application are non-returnable. Please provide valid and working e-mail addresses and at least two mobile phone numbers for contact purposes.
Check e-mail accounts on a regular basis as contact for entrance examinations will be done via e-mail nearer the date. Please adjust the security level of your email accounts in order to receive our mass email notifications.

Step 3: General Ability Test and Placement Tests
|
|
Applicants must sit for a General Ability Test and placement tests for English Language, Mathematics and Science. The test dates are on 6 & 7 September 2010. You will be notified of the timing of the tests at a later date.

Step 4: Interview
|
|
Shortlisted applicants who have done well in the tests will be invited to attend an interview. Interviews will be conducted during early October 2010.

Step 5 : Receive Notification Of Results
|
|
Results of the application will be released after 11 October 2010.
