Students must meet ANY of the following criteria to be eligible for the Sports Trials/Interviews:

1. Member of the Top 4 Teams in National Inter-school Championship; or
2. Member of Top 2 Teams in Zone Inter-school Championship; or
3. Top 8 or Quarter-Finalists in National Age-group Individual Championship or a major Championship organized by the Singapore Primary Schools Sports Council or the National Sports Association; or
4. Primary 6 pupils who did not participate in competition due to unforeseen circumstances but demonstrate talent in their sports beyond the abilities of children in the same age group can also apply.  

Instructions to DSA Sport Applicants

·         Sports Trials will be conducted from 8:30am - 11:30am on 04 June, 18 June and 16 July. Please note that the sports trial on the 16 July is by appointment only. To make an appointment, please email our HOD/PECCA at azmy.rizman@ri.edu.sg

·         Applicants are to report to the Albert Hong Hall at 8.30am sharp.

·         Applicants are to be in proper sports attire and to bring their own equipment where applicable. 

·         Applicants will be put through specific sports testing by our teachers and coaches.  

·         Applicants are required to attend only ONE of the 3 trials.

·         Results of the trial will only be released after 29 August when all the 3 trials have been completed.

Please note that trials will be conducted for all sports on 04 June, 18 June and 16 July with the exception of the following.

·        * Interviews will be conducted for Sailing and Swimming as it is not possible to conduct physical trials. Applicants are to contact the respective teachers in charge for an interview (Sailing – Mr Kwan Hoi Soon and Swimming – Mrs. Lim Yoke Tong).

·        ** For Tenpin Bowling, applicants are to contact Ms Serene Seow directly to make arrangements for their trial on 27 June, 29 June from 4p.m. to 6 p.m. and 01 July from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Orchid Country Club from 11.00am to 1.00pm.

·        *** Rugby, please note that there will be no trials conducted on 04 June. Trials will be conducted on 18 June and 16 July.
